Funded by The NICU Foundation and created in partnership with The South West Neonatal Network, this animation was created to support parents, as they navigate their journey home following a stay in neonatal care with a premature or sick baby.
YOUR ROLE AS PARENTS AND WHAT TO EXPECT
Funded by The NICU Foundation and created in partnership with The South West Neonatal Network, this animation was made to support new parents who find themselves in the unfamiliar environment of a NICU. The animation focuses on the role of parents in the NICU and what they can expect.
The animation is now used by NICUs across the country as part of a new parent's welcome and in April 2020 won a silver People's Choice award at the Charity Film Awards.

The NICU Foundation - Closure
After more than ten years fundraising, supporting the NHS South West Neonatal Network, as well as growing awareness of the Neonatal journey nationally, the NICU Foundation charity will be closing at the end of September 2024.
As trustees we have found that the fundraising landscape in Neonates has changed dramatically, particularly in the last five years during the Covid and post Covid era. Whilst we will always be very proud of all our small charity has achieved (punching well above it's weight) with the support of committed fundraisers over the last decade,
